David Valva is the grandson of the founder of the company, Michele Valva, and the only son of Bob Valva, who headed the company for some 50 years with his brother Bill.
Although born into the business, David has built his own sterling reputation. An extremely active agent in the Bay Area for more than 30 years, he is known as Mr. Oakland for good reason: he knows every path, lane, street, boulevard and block of the city.
Knowledgeable and friendly, David takes the meaning of a “full-service” to a new level. Long after he represents a client, he stays in touch, providing them with an invaluable source for information. His extensive list of resources includes everything from outstanding contractors, maintenance crews and property managers to top-rated schools and restaurants.
David has served on the Oakland Association of Realtors’ board and is active in the community. For years he sat on the Adopt a Special Kid (AASK) board, as well as the Piedmont Boy Scout Council. Dedicated to his hometown, David has been an active supporter of Rebuild Oakland Together and Western Federation of Service Workers.
